Amare Stoudemire is an awesome basketball player. He needs to be represented for Black History Month. He won the Rookie of the Year Award coming straight out of high school. In November 2008 he won the NBA's Community Assist Award for his Each 1, Teach 1 foundation. He also made drinkable water in Sierra Leone. He funded buildings of water wells. He visited the country 2008 summer and met up with Presendent Earnest Bai Koroma.
Another person is Reggie Bush. He has his own charity to help with the people that got there homes took from them during Hurricane Katrina. Reggie Bush does his business on the field and off the field. His girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, and him helped a family get furniture and everything for their house that they were fixing. He also helps little kids with the sport of football.
For my last one is Jason Terry. He plays basketball for the Mavericks. He has a foundation sort of like Reggie Bush. He does basketball camp for the little kids. He also donates a $100 for every three he makes. He goes to the Atlanta's Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital. He takes toys with other Dallas Mavericks's teammates. He also donated jackets to the homeless.
I think these three guys should be recognized for Black History Month.
